BRANDOR

CONCEPT · FIGURE

BRANDOR aims to integrate sensory experience with artistic expression from the perspective of "SENSE · CONCEPT". "CONCEPT · FIGURE" is an exploration of brand diversity, looking for and presenting unique perceptions and conceptual expressions from different perspectives and fields.

In this edition, we invite photography artist Huang Jing as the first person of "CONCEPT · FIGURE". With his unique lens language, Huang Jing captures the ordinary but subtle moments of life through the form of black and white photography. His works show us not only images but also his perspectives and attitudes towards life. He infuses his distinct personal narrative into his images, adding a layer of more perceptive and poetic capture to our perception of life.

In such an era of image flooding, Huang Jing's works appear so real, with a scarce sense of granularity in the digital age. Free and quiet time floats in black and white pictures, appears to be incompatible with this seething era of rat race. He seems to be a free, detached boy, wandering around doing nothing, but also like a poet full of profound meaning at the same time, showing us the world he is staring at, placid but realistic. There is always a melancholy beauty in his lens, sad but sincere, pure and intense. In his image world, I feel as if I am back in my youth, back to the long-lost innocence and youth of the 1980s, calm every day but always warm and exciting.
